Recommendations • That the Committee note the extension to this project. Executive Summary Original proposals for Entry Point Signage were considered by the Board on 2 July. Board members agreed to endorse the general principles that had been developed in Phase 1 subject to including two additional principles: • The development on an effective maintenance regime is an integral part of the project; and • The choice of materials to be used and the financial management of the project should not expose the CNPA to a high level of risk. APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURE ON CNP ENTRY POINT DEVELOPMENT Discussion 1. This is work researching Gateway sign materials, supplier selection and project management for the initial prototyping in line with the request by the Board for further work to be carried out. 2. The contract for this additional work has been awarded to Aaron Lawton, the contractor who carried out work on the initial phase and therefore has knowledge of the project. The quality of his work to date has been very high. 3. The value of this additional work is £12k and funds have been allocated for this work in the Operational Plan.
